Shipping container for MasterMover
Project description
Bespoke industrial shipping container developed for MasterMover, designed to facilitate the safe transport of an AGV Tow machine using a reinforced metal structure, access ramp, locking systems, lashing points, and integrated protections.
Client requirement
MasterMover required a specific solution to transport AGV Tow machinery in a safe, controlled, and protected manner, avoiding reliance on conventional packaging or generic transport solutions.
The equipment had to allow for easy loading and unloading, protect the machine during movement, incorporate visual safety elements, and keep the assembly properly closed during transport. Furthermore, it was necessary to integrate lashing points, contact protections, and a configuration robust enough to withstand industrial use.
The primary need was to develop a container that combined structural protection, ramp access, safety during transport, and ease of logistical handling.
Solution developed by Acres
The design was developed as an industrial transport crate adapted to the size, weight, and handling conditions of the MasterMover AGV Tow machine.
The solution integrates a reinforced metal structure, exterior panels, rear doors, a fold-down ramp, and locking elements that allow the equipment to be loaded, secured, and protected during transport. The assembly also incorporates lashing points for internal fixation, specific signage, and rubber/neoprene protections to reduce impacts or unwanted contact.
The result is a robust, functional shipping container prepared for industrial logistics, capable of protecting the machine during transit and facilitating a safer, more controlled loading and unloading operation.
Technical design specifications
- Main structure in carbon steel designed for industrial use and machinery transport.
- Crate framework powder coated RAL 1003 Signal Yellow for high visibility and frame protection.
- Side panels and rear doors powder coated RAL 9005 Jet Black for enclosure and exterior protection.
- Integrated ramp with EN-AW 6082 aluminum checker plates to facilitate machine loading and unloading.
- 175.72 kg Crate door GA with ramp, exterior panel, checker plates, and locking elements.
- 12 lashing rings with 1500 kg SWL to secure the load during transport.
- Integrated underfloor ramp springs to assist ramp operation.
- Hinges, bushings, and mechanical fixings to allow controlled movement of doors and ramp.
- 3 ABUS combination padlocks for securing the assembly during transport or storage.
- Rubber buffers, cone rubber buffers, and neoprene pad to absorb contact and protect critical areas.
- Ramp extension guide in black PE300 to support ramp operation.
- “Do Not Lift” signage and MasterMover plates integrated into the assembly.
