Multifunctional access platform for industrial use
Project Description
Acres Engineering developed a custom industrial access platform capable of adapting to different heights, configurations, and access points within the plant. The equipment combines a scissor lift with an extendable work surface, configurable railings, and telescopic ladders.
Client Need
Rolls-Royce required an adaptable industrial access solution to safely work at different heights and points on a large aerospace component.
Due to the geometry of the part and the variation in intervention areas, a fixed platform did not offer the necessary flexibility. The equipment needed to allow for height adjustment, bringing the work surface closer to the component, and configuring access points, while maintaining stability and operator protection during technical operations.
Solution Developed by Acres
Acres developed a custom multifunctional access platform for Rolls-Royce, capable of adapting its height, usable surface, and access points to different work areas.
The equipment combines a scissor lift system with four extendable floor sections, configurable railings, and three telescopic ladders. This configuration allows the platform to be brought closer to the component and adapts access according to the intervention position.
To facilitate its use within the plant, the solution incorporates industrial wheels for movement and four foldable stabilizers with adjustable feet, responsible for leveling and securing the assembly during work.
The result is a versatile industrial access solution for the aerospace sector, designed to facilitate interventions on complex components with greater safety and flexibility.
Technical Design Specifications
- Adjustable vertical lifting system to adapt the platform to different working heights.
- Four extendable stabilizers, with locking in open and closed positions.
- Interchangeable end railings to modify the configuration of the work area.
- Three 2.6-meter telescopic ladders, adjustable to the selected height. Access doors integrated into the perimeter protection.
- Non-slip surfaces on the floor, extensions, and entry areas.
- Four foldable stabilizers with adjustable feet, lockable in open or closed positions.
- Four 150 mm diameter industrial wheels for moving the equipment within the plant.
- Protective bellows around the lifting mechanism.
