Custom Workstation for GE Aerospace
A custom industrial furniture solution developed for GE Aerospace, designed to enhance organization, ergonomics, and the availability of technical documentation in an aerospace production environment.
Client Need
GE Aerospace required a workstation capable of centralizing technical resources within the production area, facilitating access to documentation, screens, lighting, and electrical power at the point of use.
The solution needed to be robust, mobile, tidy, and visually aligned with the client’s environment, maintaining an appropriate configuration for assembly, inspection, technical support, and daily plant operations.
Solution Developed by Acres
Acres designed a 3000 x 800 mm workstation with a metal structure in 50x50x3 SHS profile, a technical worktop, and a custom Dibond backboard.
The solution was configured to combine work surface, document support, lighting, electricity, cable management, and controlled mobility within a single industrial unit.
Main Elements of the Solution:
- Reinforced metal structure for intensive plant use.
- Light grey linoleum worktop fixed on a 3 mm steel plate.
- Dibond printed backboard with custom GE Aerospace graphics.
- 1.8 m warm overhead lighting with integrated switch.
- Dual UK sockets, USB-C, and USB connections for auxiliary equipment.
- Monitor mounts to integrate screens into the workstation.
- A4 document panels for instructions, processes, or technical documentation.
- Adhesive clips for cabling and a 5 m power cable.
- 100 mm Castors to facilitate mobility within the work area.
